Molly McDonough is an experienced communications professional and media strategist through her consultancy McDonough Media LLC.
She is an award-winning journalist and proven project manager, who started her career as a beat reporter and rose to the top position of editor & publisher of the nation’s largest legal magazine, the ABA Journal.
Molly is passionate about access to justice issues having been involved in covering the delivery of legal services her entire career.
She worked in print and online media for American Lawyer Media and covered legal affairs for the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin, Gary Post-Tribune, Spartanburg Herald-Journal and Florence Morning News, where she also covered politics and spent some time in the infield and press box while covering the Darlington Southern 500.
Folio Magazine named Molly to its Top Women in Media list as a woman who innovates and guides business into new markets. Her work building ABAJournal.com was recognized with a prestigious Webby People’s Voice Award.
She is active with the Society of Professional Journalists, where she served on the national board, as president of its largest chapter, and founding president of the chapter’s charitable foundation. She is a longtime Girl Scout leader and continues to volunteer with her local farmers’ market, where she was a longtime commissioner and chair.
